The planning application for the erection of 7 turbines with associated infrastructure, which includes a meteorological mast which will be 80m high and be a triangular structure with each side of the base measuring 5 metres long, has been lodged by Nuon with Daventry District Council.
Although the printed deadline for objections from members of the public was April 30th (planning application notices were posted around the site on 9th April with 21 days after that date for receipt of objections) we believe that objections received by the planning office of Daventry District Council before the date of the planning committee (as yet to be announced) will be added to the file and considered by Mrs Phillips, the planning officer. We therefore urge anyone who agrees that this proposal is flawed in accordance with planning reasons set out on this web site, and who has not yet managed to lodge their objections with the planning office, do so now. You really can make a difference.
Objections must be relevant to the planning process (in other words if you simply say “I don’t agree with this development” or “I don’t want turbines close to my house, they will spoil my enjoyment of my nice garden” your objection will not be heeded). It is important that as many people as possible write to Daventry to object to the proposal if we are to persuade the Planning Committee of the folly of this windfarm in this location.
Letters of objection may be sent to Daventry District Council Planning Department at the following address:
Mrs C Phillips
The Planning Department
Daventry District Council
Lodge Road
Daventry
NN11 4FP
Tel: (01327) 871100
though where possible, Mrs Phillips would prefer to have letters of objection emailed to:
so that she has electronic copies.
You must quote the planning application reference DA/2009/0168 at the top of your letter, or in the subject box of the email, and ensure your address is included so that Daventry District Council can keep you informed of the progress of the application.
A copy of all the documentation in the application is available at Brixworth Library, at the Council offices in Daventry or by contacting a member of the Parish Council. You can also arrange to see a copy by contacting 07768 573602. Daventry District Council’s website also has the documentation for downloading.
