The Harrington Airfield wind farm proposal is not an isolated instance of developments planned for the area east of the M1 along the A14 corridor. In an area of approximately 17 x 20 miles there will be, if all planning applications are successful, some 113 wind turbines! The map below (courtesy of Michael Benn) shows the sites.
